2026 Honda ZR-V facelift revealed in Japan
The lightly facelifted Honda ZR-V has been revealed in Japan ahead of its expected release here in the not-too-distant future.
Differences can be hard to spot for all but the most dedicated car spotters. A re-updation of the Japanese model range has been introduced to three trim lines with the base-spec Z, which is a design that’s completely unchanged except for new 18-inch alloy wheels.
Several additions to the paint palette are also added, such as Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Seabed Blue Pearl.

Up to the Z Black Style, there’s a new honeycomb grille; wheel arch protectors, side sill- and lower part of the bumpers are finished in gloss black. The wheels are shared with the Z, but they are given a darker finish while their wheels have been shared.
This is the top of the pile, pictured above), with an aggressive front bumper design designed by a new, more aggressive type called Z Cross Touring (with faux bash plates) and has ‘an even tougher style’ on its front. matte black is used for the wheel arch protectors, intake trim, side sills and alloy wheels to give it a look of more off-road power.
The protection strips on the lower section of the doors are also new, and have more than resemblance to the “air bumps” fitted to Citroens in the 2010s. The Cross Touring is a dark beige interior with orange stitching and an inner-colored beefuit inside of the Cross touring.

The 1 is lost in Japan when the revised ZR-V range is redesigned. 4 cylinder petrol engine, which was powered by 5-litre turbocharged 4–cylinder engines. The 2 is the only drivetrain on offer now, and has been deemed as the sole one of the most effective drives. A 0-litre hybrid, which is 135kW and 315Nm, maxs out at 1 35kW.
Japanese buyers can choose between front- or all-wheel drive. So far all Australian-delivered ZR-Vs have been front-wheel drive.

Honda Australia has confirmed the facelifted ZR-V and CR-V are on the cards for local release this year. With the current ZR-V in runout mode, it’s likely the facelift will arrive sooner rather than later.
The local spokesman is also keen on growing its hybrid offerings, but it’s not clear whether it will follow Japan’ in the process of axing the turbo ZR-V.
