The Kia PV5 Cargo will be priced from $55,990 before on-road costs in Australia, making it the most affordable electric van on sale locally.
PV5 Cargo S Long Range, which was first marketed at one grade, is due in showrooms from late May 2026 with more variants to follow.
The sharp pricing undercuts the $61,990 Peugeot e-Partner , while also coming in below the larger LDV eDeliver 7 (from $69,463 before on-roads) and the similarly sized Volkswagen ID. Buzz Cargo (from $69,990 before on-roads).
The PV5 also offers a claimed driving range of 416km (WLTP), placing it among the longest-range electric vans on sale in Australia. It sits just behind the ID. Buzz Cargo (431km), but ahead of the eDeliver 7 (up to 328km) and Ford E-Transit Custom (up to 307km).

It was recently named 2026 International Van of the Year, a new name for the PV5 that measures 4695mm long, 2255mm wide and 1899mm tall on 5995MM wheelbase.
It’s the first model under Kia’s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy and is the brand’s first electric commercial vehicle. It also becomes just the second commercial model in Kia Australia’s current lineup, joining the Kia Tasman.
The PV5 is also Kia Australia’s first cargo van since the Pregio was discontinued around 20 years ago.
The power is from one electric motor driving the front wheels, with a 71-voltage (i.e. WLTP range is claimed 416km, with an estimated battery of 2kWh nickel cobalt manganese (NCM) lithium-ion that delivered the said 4 km.
The DC fast charging is available in Overseas models, with Kia claiming that a top-up of 10 to 80 per cent can be completed within 30 minutes (about 3 miles of driving range). The vehicle-to–Load (V2L) capability is also included in Vehicle-To-Lias.
The PV5 has also benefited from Kia Australia’s local ride and handling tuning.
Kia Australia has yet to confirm full local specifications, although UK-market versions of the powertrain and range figures are similar. All UK-market PV5s generate 120kW power and 250Nm of torque.
