A new CX-6e mid-size electric SUV will launch from $53,990 plus on-road costs when it lands in September, according to Mazda Australia’s confirmed pricing and preliminary specifications.
Available to pre-order now, the 2026 Mazda CX-6e will be offered in two grades like the related 6e EV sedan: the GT and top-spec Azami.
With claimed driving range pegged at up to 484km on the WLTP test cycle, both grades will be powered by a rear electric motor of 190kW/290Nm fed from 78kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack which is used for power.
The CX-6e is DC fast-charged from 30 to 80 per cent “in as little as 15 minutes”, Mazda says, but has not confirmed the actual charging capacity.

Both the GT and Azami will be equipped with standard Black Maztex leatherette upholstery, while a Warm Beige interior is available for an additional $1000 on both grades.
The 2026 Mazda CX-6e’s base pricing undercuts key rivals including the Tesla Model Y (from $58,900), BYD Sealion 7 (from $54,990) and Zeekr 7X (from $57,900).
The CX-6e is 4850mm long and 1935mm wide, on a long 2902mm wheelbase (which borders large SUV territory) while it is considered’mid-sized’.
In the world’s specifications, there is 468L of quoted capacity in the boot for the CX-6e (advanced to 1434L with the second row of seats folded flat) and a total of 1444L.
The Mazda CX-6e is the international export version of the EZ-60 that’s already on sale in China, and was shown at the Beijing motor show of that year by the 2024 Mazda Arata Concept.
The CX-6e/EZ-60 was developed by the Changan Mazda joint venture in China, and is based on the same platform and running gear as the Deepal S07 which is also on sale in Australia.
