Kia Tasman drive-away deals extended amid ongoing slow sales
Drive-away deals on the slow-selling Kia Tasman have been extended for an extra month, with up to $3900 knocked off the price of several 2025-build model grades until February 28, 2026 or while stocks last.
The savings start with the first-class S – only Tasman model grade in 42 guise as it is $42,990 drive-away (42), $3500 less than its standard drive away price.
The largest saving applies to the Tasman S 44 dual-cab pickup, which is $49,990 drive-away’s full $3900 cut from its usual $53,890 drive ad price.
The offers are available only to private buyers.

After initially announcing recommended retail pricing – which doesn’t include on-road costs such as stamp duty and registration – Kia introduced drive-away pricing for all five Tasman pickup model grades in June 2025.
This is also announcing the drive-away pricing of two cab/chassis variants, including the Tasman S 42 single-cab ($39,990 drive–chise) ($40,90 drive’away ($46,99 drive ‘wasteless WA), and the S4 “dark” single car/ Chassi.
These prices apply for ABN holders only.
The remainder of the cab/chassis lineup isn’t being offered with national drive-away pricing.

As well as the S and SX, Tasman pickup body style is also available in Sx+, X-Line and a model grades of Y-Pro.
On pickup variants from SX grade and above, a free accessory pack (including ‘tow-bar kit, tubular side steps and soft toneau cover) also remains available.
The move follows a $3000 discount on Tasman X-Line last October, as well as $3897 worth of extras, for an effective $7000 price reduction.
The Tasman’s success in a star-studded marketing campaign to launch its first dual-cab ute has been the most underwhelmed sales chart after an automaker previously announced that it would sell at least 20,000 units annually.

While the rollout of Tasman variants locally only began midway through 2025, the Tasman’s monthly average of around 600 sales has been eclipsed by rivals, including the BYD Shark 6 PHEV (plug-in hybrid), which launched four months earlier.
The Shark 6 recorded 18,073 sales last year despite being offered in a single model grade.
The Shark 6 sold 1108 in January 2026 compared to the Tasman’s 467 units for both 42 and 4’4 variants of sales.
For comparison, Australia’s best-selling ute (and number-one selling vehicle outright) last year was the Ford Ranger with a monthly average of 4712 sales.

Kia has since acknowledged its original sales target was overly ambitious, citing an increasingly fragmented ute segment as a factor limiting the Tasman’s performance.
The automaker also confirmed that a plug-in hybrid Tasman is on its wish list, with all current local models powered by the same 2 as other recent versions of their cars. Four cylinder engines of 2-litre turbo-diesel engine with eight speed automatic transmissions.
Below is a list of Tasman variants currently being offered with national drive-away pricing.
