LDV Deliver 9 and eDeliver 9 recalled
Australian LDV importer Ateco Automotive is recalling the diesel-powered LDV Deliver 9 and battery-electric LDV eDeliver 9 commercial vans as their airbags could deploy unexpectedly.
A recall notice from Ateco says the Airbag Control Unit (ACU) software may have been calibrated with higher than intended sensitivity because of a manufacturing defect, at Ecu.
“As a result, the driver, passenger, curtain airbags and/or seat mounted side airbags may activate unexpectedly whilst driving.
A sudden airbag activation of the vehicle could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to car drivers and/or other road users. – ’.
