2026 Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line Plus Edition: Sportier styling lower price

A new special-edition C–Class has been introduced by Mercedes’Benz, this time based on the top-spec C300 but with a sportier look for lowered price.

The Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line Plus Edition is priced at $95,400 before on-road costs, but until June 30 (2026) it’s being offered for $94,900 drive-away.

On its own, the C300 it’s based on (in contrast) is now $99,500 before going to cost for off-road or $107,107 plus ORCs according to a New South Wales postcode.

Mercedes-Benz says the special edition will be offered in “limited” numbers.

Over the C300, the AMG Line Plus Edition adds:

  • 19-inch black alloy wheels
  • Night Package
  • High-gloss black grille, mirror, beltline and window surround trim
  • AMG lip spoiler
  • ‘Metal-structure’ centre console, dashboard trim

It doesn’t include the following equipment from the regular C300:

  • Driving Assistance Package Plus (stop/go functionality for adaptive cruise control)
  • Digital Light LED headlights with Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus
  • 15-speaker 710W Burmester 3D surround sound system
  • Augmented-reality satellite navigation

However, as with the regular C300, it includes:

  • LED High Performance headlights with adaptive high-beam
  • AMG Line exterior
  • Agility Control suspension
  • Heated, power-folding exterior mirrors
  • Proximity entry and push-button start
  • Rear privacy glass
  • AMG Line interior
  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster
  • 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Heated, power-adjustable front seats with memory
  • Artico leatherette upholstery
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Active Parking Assist
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Autonomous emergency braking
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Lane-keep assist
  • Surround-view camera
  • Traffic sign recognition

The launch of this special edition follows a tweaking of the C300, the flagship of the non-AMG C-Class lineup, in 2025.

It was lowered by $100, but received a swag of other standard equipment including the already mentioned Digital Light LED headlights and Burmester sound system.

Earlier in 2025, Mercedes-Benz also slashed the price of the entry-level C200 by $4800 to $87,800 before on-road costs.

The AMG Line Plus Edition is the latest C-Class in this generation and first based on the C300, following the current C200 Night Edition of 2024 and the new C100 Sport Edition from 2025.

A new generation of C-Class (W206) arrived here in 2022, first in C200 and the latter in guise of “C300”, which cost $90,400 before on-road costs.

The W206 is offered here only as a sedan, though a wagon is available overseas; the previous C-Class coupe and convertible were replaced by the CLE.

Mercedes-Benz delivered 3566 C-Class sedans in Australia in 2022, down 26.4 per cent.

And it’s been a gradual decline since then, with 2625 sold in 2023, 1943 in 2024, and 1425 in 2025.

The German brand has expanded the C-Class lineup, however, not just with special editions but also with last year’s introduction of the plug-in hybrid C350e, priced identically to the C300.
