During April 9 European time, Cupra’s new baby electric vehicle (EV) will be launched with the Spanish brand making its announcement alongside a teaser image of the car’d ‘culo’.

A new MINIMUM EV platform, called the 2027 Cupra Raval, will be the first vehicle to ride on Volkswagen Group’s newly launched MEB+ dedicated e-v platform which will underpin its group’d new affordable ve range including the VW ID. What is Polo, ID? Skoda Epiq, Cross and Skord.

It is expected that European pricing will begin around the €26,000 (A$43,422) mark, which doesn’t seem to be a thing of interest by direct conversion but places the baby EV hatch well below – based Leon in Spain. Home market The small hatch begins at €31,632 (A$52,828).

It will be powered by a 155kW front electric motor (up to the range of 450km) Dynamic Plus, which has base specification including LED headlights, heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats, reversing camera with front and rear sensors as standard; six-speaker sound system.

Stepping up to Dynamic Plus adds matrix LED headlights and keyless access, 12-speaker Sennheiser sound system, ambient interior lighting, satellite navigation, 360-degree cameras and Travel Assist semi-autonomous driving capability.

Lastly, the European VZ Extreme model will be equipped with an electric limited-slip differential of 166kW motor and range drops to 400km WLTP. Other equipment additions will include a fixed panoramic glass roof, Sulfur exterior accents and racier Cup Bucket front seats with driver memory function.

Cupra’s local division has previously said it is preparing for the new electric hatchback as for Australia, although definitive timing remains unconfirmed.

The Raval will dock Down Under until 2027 at the earliest, given that April reveal points to a European launch in the second half of 2026. But we may be surprised by this but it’s unlikely they would have been an early one for down under and could not surprise us with what was happening on our next day (It is likely)

Considering its position relative to the Leon overseas it could start with an ‘3’ price, The Raval will be under Born in the Spanish brand’s newer-EV lineup and would have been placed below the Born. However it’s a little early to figure out what its position in Australia will be like for .
