Iveco working to regain customer confidence

As it launches its updated range of Daily commercial vans and trucks, Iveco has reaffirmed its commitment to its Australian customers, with the brand actively working to improve reliability and aftersales support.

Iveco Australia’s chief of business operations, Glen Dyer, told childcareman.xyz that the company knows what it is known for and has taken steps across the firm to not only improve its position in the market but also ensure customers aren’t disadvantaged.

“We cannot afford to have people off the road – we just can’t,” Mr Dyer explained.

“Because not only does it affect their livelihood, but of course, it ruins our reputation.

But this is probably one of the most important pieces for us in the last couple of years,’ he said.

Mr Dyer says Iveco has been implementing new systems and procedures across the organisation, such as better training for its dealer network (including an eight-speed torque-converter automatic from Germany’s ZF) in addition to an updated Daily van and a new range of cab/chassis.

“We’re trying to bring back our reliability, which we’re doing – but also the support.

This is a key point, so yeah, and in our key measurements [on whether customers will recommend our products] we’ve been very concerned with making sure that year-on-year increases.

if you went back to the three years ago, they were where they needed them.’ . They’re putting up now– and I think in the last two years they’ve grown by about 20 per cent.’ Mr Dyer said ‘It’s just over 2 years, but it’d been around 30 percent for them to be more than normal.

The warranty period for Iveco’s light commercial range has also doubled, from three years to six years. However, a 250,000km mileage limit remains.

“I think it will provide [reassurance] that we’ve got confidence in the product… confidence in the longevity [of the product].

So, we’ve stepped up the warranty… across the board and made sure we have got good offers in terms of extended warranties, repair and maintenance packages. For us, the cost to operator is a key factor in our bid for . – ’.

A new 2026 Iveco Daily 50C cab-chassis with the Tradie Made package costs $77,929 before on-road prices are announced and further pricing for the lineup will be announced in the coming months.
