2026 Tesla Model Y L prices: Six-seat EV on sale in Australia and New Zealand

Priced from $74,900 excluding on-road costs (or NZD $83,900 across the ditch), the Model Y L will be offered in a single Premium Long Range AWD specification similar to that of the regular Model Y – but with some extras.
The six-seater model Y L has been given orders for the new order, with deliveries starting from the second quarter (April to June) of 2026.
Highlights include a special, longer body with – long wheelbase; and. roofline for ’comfort-focused’ seating layout speaking of it offers 2+2 +2.
Also it also provides 3 Tesla (Australia and New Zealand) Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality for its own brand, Tesla. 3kW of power output to external devices or equipment via an adaptor that is available.

A model Y L Premium Long Range Analogues System (Motor XL) quotes system produces 378kW of power and 590Nm of torque under the skin, good enough for 0-100km/h claim of just 5? 0 seconds. Out, it’ll hit 201km/h at the top speed of flat out.
The WLTP cycle is quoted at 681km, meaning that the extra wheelbase has contributed to an even larger battery than the equivalent Model J – although Tesla has not confirmed specific details of batteries other than NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) chemistry. The seats are a “all-new” design across the board inside, with first- and second-row chairs heated and ventilated to provide electric adjustment; an elevator third row heated. Second-row captain’s chairs also have one-touch armrests with electrically powered arm rests, while the second and third rows are power folding.
A new Zen Grey interior colour option is available only to the Model Y L and ISOFIX, as well as top-tether points are found across all four rear seating positions.
The Model Y L, in addition, scores continuous variable damping on top of the Model J’s basic carryover suspension with two choice-based suspension modes Balanced or Rear Comfort.

This includes a quoted weight of 2088kg (kerb) rounding out the details in spec, and – as well as – ‘1588 kg braked towing capacity’ for Rounding up the Spec Details. A real towing package is a “service item post-delivery” for’service items’.
As well as 2539L of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded (electrically), there is a quoted 420L behind the third row of seats where they are placed, and 1076L with frontmost bench folded. Under the bonnet there’s also a 116L ‘Frunk’ up front.
In Australia and New Zealand, the Model Y L has a five year unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty as is with the wider Tesla range of its models (five years on roadside support).
Also the battery and driver unit are warranted for eight years or 192,000km –whichever comes first, with minimum 70 per cent retention of the capacity in that battery over those years as with the Model Y Premium Long Range.
