Ford Ranger deals bring thousands in savings

The Ford Ranger is being offered with discounts of up to $3000 on selected variants, including both diesel and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) utes, ahead of the launch of the updated MY26.5 lineup.

While Ford Australia has not listed the price of each Ranger on its website, it is offering a $3000 discount across eligible variants of its best-seller.

This excludes the recently launched Ranger Super Duty, the Ranger Raptor performance ute, as well as entry-level XL and all 4×2 variants of the regular Ranger lineup.

Discounts are valid for model year 2026 (MY26) and prior examples, but apply only to the more popular Ranger 44 range.

Starting with Ranger XLS dual-cab 2 they use the RangeR xls. This is 0-litre bi-turbo diesel with 10-speed automatic, which has $3000 advertised off its standard $57,880 before on-road costs are asking price.

Ranger XLT also has $3000 off Super Cab and Double Cab variants fitted with the 2. A 0-litre bi-turbo diesel, with the same discount applied to 3 bottles of petrol, is also used as (as in all cars). Duo Cab models and XLT cab/chassis powered by the 0-litre V6-powered xlt .

It also includes the Ranger Sport, which has either engine as well as all four model grades of the ranger PHEV – dropping the starting price to $68,990 before on-road costs for the XLT.

Ranger PHEV Sport, Wildtrak and Stormtak all get $3000 off; range-topping Stormstuck from $83,990 before on-road costs.

The plug-in hybrid Ranger, launched last year, uses a 2pc . For total system, 207kW of power and 697Nm of torque are produced by 3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission and electric motor. On the NEDC test cycle, an 8kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery offers as much as 49km of electric driving range.

Ford hasn’t listed an end date for the $3000 discounts.

This is still listed with a starting price of $57,000 for the Black Edition Bi-Turbo dual-cab 44 ute (or 55,000 drive-away) holders on Australian Business Number (ABN).

Ford announced $250 price increases across all diesel variants in mid-2025, with minor pricing adjustments for MY26.5 revealed last November, including the Black Edition and Wolftrak special edition.

The automaker will also drop the bi-turbo diesel engine from the Ranger lineup, following its removal from the Ranger range in the UK in 2025 due to emissions regulations.

Rather, the entry-level Ranger XL will use a 2 (i.e. This will be a more widely available V6 diesel engine, with the 10-speed automatic single-turbo diesel of 0-litres; and an improved version of the M6 Diesel engine.

Ford has also dropped the bi-turbo engine from its Everest SUV, which shares most of its underpinnings with the Ranger and outsold arch-rival Toyota LandCruiser Prado for the second consecutive year in 2025.

In 2025, the Ranger beat the Toyota HiLux for the third year in a row to remain the most popular vehicle in Australia.
