Honda Jazz gets an offbeat facelift but its not coming to Australia

Images of a facelifted version of the Honda Jazz have been published online, ahead of the model’s launch in China.

Described as the Fit there, Honda’s hatchback is said to be limited to 3000 cars; small petrol-powered cars are one of the most unpopular segments among Chinese new-vehicle buyers and were relatively unattractive.

As reported by Japanese website Creative Trend, leaked images of the model – produced by a joint venture between Honda and GAC – were originally posted on the website Autohome.

The visual changes include (increasingly common) split-level lighting, which replace the large headlight clusters of the outgoing model. The grille is slim, but has been placed higher up the grill – which remains slim.

The down back is much more minor, with changes being made to a slightly revised bumper (just under the headliner). It’s a bigger 10 Insider, the only big change is – it’ll be. 1-inch infotainment touchscreen, from 9 to 1 inch info. unit 0-inch .

It’s unclear if these visual changes will also be applied to the Japanese-built Fit/Jazz.

The Fit will be offered as a single variant, powered by 1 and is understood to have been the same version of it’s . The 4–cylinder petrol engine, which was naturally aspirated by 5-litres (CVT) and produced 91kW of power and 145Nm of torque, driven the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (cVT), driving the rear wheels.

Reports claim the vehicle will be priced from ¥63,800 in China – or approximately A$13,700.

Honda discontinued the Jazz in Australia in late 2020, with the company subsequently ruling out any plans to reintroduce the model to its lineup.

“I’ll be clear: Jazz isn’t in our plans,” former Honda Australia boss Carolyn McMahon told childcareman.xyz in 2023.

While there’s no new of the Jazz making a return, Honda has confirmed it will be bringing the electric Super-One city car to Australia in the second half of 2026.
