2026 Fiat Scudo price and specs: Italian brand back to take on Toyota HiAce again

Considering the stock of the now-axed petrol-powered 500, Fiat is only two models in Australia and three when it comes to getting another car.

Sitting under the Fiat Professional banner and slotting in below the full-size Ducato van, the 2026 Fiat Scudo is a mid-size van aimed directly at the top-selling Toyota HiAce, as well as the Hyundai Staria Load and Ford Transit Custom.

It’s due in local showrooms from February, priced from $48,490 before on-road costs.

And if it looks familiar, that’s because it is: the ‘new’ Fiat Scudo is a Peugeot Expert by another name.

For Fiat Australia, it is the segment’s first car in this segment since the last Scudo (which was available here from 2008 to 2017) and also a rebadged Peugeot Expert.

The Scudo Series 3 is the latest variant of the third-generation mid-size Stellantis van, which also wear Citroen, Opel and Vauxhall, Iveco and Toyota badges in other markets as well as a new version of 2016’s second generation model.

Fifteen Australia is supplying the Scudo in two trims; while their SWB and LWB names are identical, they both have same 3275mm wheelbase.

Nevertheless, overall length is different between the two configurations 4983mm and 5333mm respectively (along with a longer rear overhang in LWB variants).

It can be had with glazed rear doors that open 270 degrees or, for an extra $700, a glazed liftgate.

The majority of Fiat’s business in Australia is now in vans. The 500 city car was left with a stock of the discontinued petrol-powered model, and Fiat delivered 1541 Ducatos last year against just 411 examples of it.
