Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE005 released
In Australia, the new performance tyre replaces RE003 after 11 years of development has been launched as part to launch the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE0015 in the Australian market.
A re005 was designed to “maximise driving pleasure” while providing a high-end sports tyre for everyday use, Bridgestone said ‘The company is targeting the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 in the segment and it has been specifically targeted at this particular sport.
RE71 is the company’s semi-slick road-legal, but it’s aimed at those who drive their car for spirited road driving (RE005). This Potenza Sport ties in the gap between drivers who take the occasional track day.

Bridgestone says the new RE005 has been designed to provide better grip and control, a high performance in wet conditions as well as an improved wear life.
The tyre’s rolling resistance coefficient is also said to make the RE005 ideal for sportier electric vehicles.
The RE005 has seven per cent more dry grip, 12 percent better wet grip than the outgoing model and wear life is four per Cent higher compared to the original one. The new tyre is also seven per cent lighter, according to a 225/40R18-r.c.

Buyers will be given 50 sizes, from 15 to 20 inches and with widths of 195 to 275mm.
Most of the top sports cars, hot hatches and muscle cars have been catered for by Bridgestone from the Mazda MX-5 to the HSV Gen-F GTS.
Pricing for the RE005 starts from $226, with the average price across the lineup coming in at $328.
The Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline RE005 is due to arrive in tyre retailers across Australia from April 2026.
