Jaecoo J7 recalled

Omoda Jaecoo Australia is recalling its debut model in Australia, the Jaecoo J7 , as it could lose power suddenly.

This recall only affects the Jaecoo J7 crossover SUVs with the turbocharged 1 and is limited to those that have a jae coo? 4- cylinder petrol engine, 6-litre four-cylinders (with the plug in hybrid SHS unaffected) and 6-lb 4 litre (4 liter) petrol engines.

The company recall notices that the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) wiring harness may chafe against the engine mounting bracket and become damaged due to a manufacturing defect.

“As a result, this could lead to a sudden loss of motive power and/or engine shutdown without warning.

A sudden loss of motive power and/or engine shut down whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle drivers and other road users. – ’.
