2026 BMW iX3 price and specs

The BMW iX3 is about as close to all-new as a new-generation model can be.

It is also known for its name-based outgoing iX3, which was inspired by the older-generation combustion-powered X3 but the new eX4 makes BMW’s Neue KlaSse dedicated electric vehicle (EV) platform and features the German brand’d sixth-gen EEDrive technology.

This is launching midway through 2026 in 50 xDrive form with a 345kW/645Nm dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain and an enormous 108kWh battery.

That allows for the iX3 to be 805km on the cycle of the Australian Vehicle Tax (WLTP), the most recent vehicle in sale at this stage. Its 800V electrical system also supports DC fast-charging at up to 400kW, a step above the 150kW figure of the outgoing iX3 which managed “only” 460km of WLTP range.

With a 43-year-old, inside it is the first bold new look for BMW. This is an 3-inch BMW Panoramic Vision display that sweeping across the bottom of the windscreen and complements a head-up display and 17 inches. Info 9-inch infotainment touchscreen for.

Despite these significant improvements, it’s just $5000 dearer than the outgoing iX3 was in flagship single-motor rear-wheel drive specification. It also undercuts mid-size luxury electric SUV rivals including the Audi Q6 e-tron quattro, Porsche Macan 4, Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor, and Genesis Electrified GV70, all of which are priced between $120,000-140,000 before on-road costs.

A more affordable single-motor rear wheel iX3 40 variant is on sale here in 2027, probably followed by a sportier version of eX3, M60. It’s also said that BMW is working on a quad-motor iX3 M performance flagship, which has also been reported to be under the radar.
