Ford F-150 recalled

The Ford F-150 has been recalled to address a software issue that may impact its towing ability.

Ford Australia notes that the Trailer Module (TRM) may lose contact with the vehicle when a trailer is connected to it because of an “software defect” in its recall notice notice.

“This can result in a loss of trailer braking performance and the turn signal lights not operating as intended.

“A trailer control loss, as well as/or signal lights that are not working properly, may increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle drivers and/and other road users. – ’.

  • A total of 6832 vehicles are affected, produced between 2021 and 2026
  • The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list is attached here

You have a car that has been affected, so you need to make an appointment with an authorized Ford dealer for the TRM software updated free of charge.

If you have any further questions, you can contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 133 673.

This is the most recent recall for the F-150, which has been subject to several since it was officially launched by Ford Australia in 2023 and multiple stop-sales. Here’s a breakdown here’.

It’s worth noting that all of these recalls are exclusive to Australian-market remanufactured F-150s, and the rear-axle hub bolt issue also triggers a recall in the US.
