The Group’s push will cover plug-in hybrid, electric and extended-range electric vehicles with approximately 30 electrified models to launch by 2027 and 50 by 2030 (about 30 EV-only models).

The ID is the first of two Volkswagen-badged models to be revealed. It is the brand’s 35-year old joint venture with China’S FAW Group, a fully electric midsize SUV developed and built through Aura T6, an ultra-electric model that has been designed for its full-time version of the vehicle.

This is based on the new, locally developed China Electronic Architecture (CEA) of intelligent, AI-powered driving that recently appeared on its mid-size ID. unyx07 sedan, paraphrasing.

ID – . Aura T6 supports “advanced level two assisted driving” – probably adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping and automated Lane changes as well as continuous over-the-air (OTA) updates.

This is followed by the ID, which is the second of s. The five-metre-long electric sedan co developed with Xpeng in just 24 months, Unyx 09, is the product of Volkswagen’s partnership agreement (JAC MotorS) and Volkswagen Anhui.

like ID’s . Aura T6 can be ’advanced level two driving aid’, but it also has ‘high performance computing’ and an intelligent AI assistant.

The ID is not detailed powertrain details for these two new models, but Volkswagen hasn’t provided detail of their respective model. The co-developed Unyx 08 – also known as Xpeng ’ provides an 800V electrical architecture and option of 82. CATL Batteries 4kWh or 95kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.

The 230kW single-motor rear-wheel drive or 370kW dual- motor all- wheel powertrains, which has air suspension and adaptive dampers, is available in the five metres-long SUV, also built up in just 24 months.

Many design cues are attributed to its exterior styling, which is similar to the ID with many other features of its style. In addition to distinctive LED daytime running lights and a long, sculpted bonnet, Unyx 09 is an interior with dual 15-inch screens and available amenities such as ‘6″ (i.e. The refrigerators of 7L heating and cooling, a 20-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos (and heated, ventilated and massaging front seats) and heated air conditioners were also used.

VW also reveals its new “Agentic AI for All” model, which will see all vehicles built on the CEA equipped with an onboard “AI Agent” from the second half of 2026.

This agent is said to have a “locally trained large language model (LLM) as its natural language interface”, which “proactively understands user intent, executes complex multi-system actions and makes contextual decisions for reaching – through natural conversation”.

With the release of CEA 2 this will be a further evolution for Volkswagen’s focus on . in 0 in 2027, which “will combine intelligence driving experience and cockpit experience into a more powerful central computing platform” that will be. Jetta has been in China since 2019, but the Group hopes that the brand will penetrate China’s entry-level electrified-vehicle segment by leveraging its previous success selling affordable internal-combustion models. By 2028, four new Jetta models are expected to be launched.

The E7X’s reveal follows last week’s announcement that Audi and SAIC would establish an Innovation and Technology Centre in Shanghai dedicated to the AUDI brand, focused on “China-specific, intelligent electrification technologies and whole-vehicle development”, as well as “AI-powered, immersive smart cabins and advanced driver assistance systems” for the Chinese market.
