Rocket-boosted Dreame electric supercar claimed to hit 100km/h in 09 seconds
Chinese tech firm**Dreame Technology ** announced a radical new concept car that claims rocket-like acceleration and next-generation autonomous technology.
Presented at the Dreame Next show in San Francisco, The Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition is an electric supercar concept that pushes the boundaries of four-wheeled performance – at least on paper.
In the centre of the experimental concept car, Dreame calls a ‘jet engine’ system (though it is actually based on’made-independent dual solid-fuel rocket booster setups) at the heart of what Dreamer calls an ‘Jejet Engine’.

Nebula NEXT 01 JET Edition
The company says the system can respond in 150 milliseconds, generating peak thrust of 100kN for a few seconds and launched the Next 01 from 0-100km/h in an estimated 0. A figure that would eclipse the fastest production electric vehicles (EVs) if it was achieved, is 9 seconds – an example of one which could be more accurate than the number in question.
Dreame hasn’t confirmed whether the concept has run or been tested in real-world conditions.
While those headline numbers draw attention, the standard Nebula NEXT 01 electric supercar on which the concept is based is itself no slouch.

Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition
According to Dreame, itsregularsupercar generates about 1400kW of power and over 1500Nm of torque from its quad-motor electric drivetrain. Details of top speed and driving range figures have been not released.
The event was also the debut of Dreame’s new DHX1 LiDAR unit, developed under the Nebula Next program alongside performance claims.
In contrast to the more traditional systems that map basic outlines of objects, the company says its new sensor can capture ultra-high-definition environmental data such as potholes, debris and traffic signs (and even track pedestrian movements from an distance) using fine details.


Underpinning the idea is Dreame’s new self-driven driving platform, based on what it calls a third-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) and World Model architecture.
It has described two systems, one of which is a Level 2++ system that can be fully urban navigation from start to finish and another higher-tech Level 3+ system designed for full unmanned driving.
In March, Dreame confirmed plans to enter the Australian and New Zealand markets, describing them as key to its expansion into the automotive sector. The company is expected to reveal a range of SUVs later this year ahead of a local launch on both sides of the Tasman in 2027.

Nebula NEXT 01 concept car
A Supercar (non rocket boosters) production version of the Nebula Next 01 supercar – without the rocket boostr’s – is also scheduled to be produced in 2027.
Whether the rocket-assisted Jet Edition will ever reach showrooms, however, remains unclear.
